This is an increase of 3,428 cases over one week. The state daily test positivity rate as of Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 8:30 p.m. was 4.88%, up from 3.95% on Wednesday, March 31, 2022, at 8:30 p.m.

On April 6 at 8:30 p.m., 127 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 39 patients since March 31. Through Wednesday, April 6, deaths numbered 10,795, an increase of 19 deaths since March 31.

Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 1,202 (+10) confirmed and 240 (+3) probable, Naugatuck – 6,324 confirmed and 1,238 probable, Oxford – 1,974 confirmed and 267 probable, Southbury – 2,552 confirmed and 593 probable, Woodbury – 1,203 confirmed and 257 probable, Watertown – 4,062 confirmed and 730 probable, and Waterbury – 27,989 confirmed and 3,911 probable.
