Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother
Felisbina Graciana (Ribeiro) Santos, 82, of Southbury, formerly of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the Lutheran Home of Southbury with her loving family by her side.
Felisbina was born in Escariz, Vila Real, Portugal on December 18, 1939, the daughter of the late Jose and Marinha (Rodrigues) Ribeiro. She received her teaching degree in Portugal and was a schoolteacher in Portugal for 10 years until she emigrated to the United States with her family in 1968 and settled in Waterbury. She worked for Timex Corp. and later Bendix Corp. She moved to Middlebury in 1984, where she lived for many years until her retirement, and then retired to Florida. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, spending time at the beach, but most of all loved spending time with her family.
Felisbina leaves to honor and cherish her memory her son, Jordano Santos, and his wife, Beth, of Middlebury; her daughter, Anabela Mariani, and her husband, Michael, of Palm Coast, Florida; her grandchildren, Melissa Watkins and her husband, Ryan; Alexandra Santos; Jordan Santos and his wife, Emily; Gabriela Mariani; and Paige Santos and her fiancée, Gus Shuler; and her great-grandsons, Augustus Santos and Ryan Watkins Jr. She was predeceased by her brothers, Antonio and Luciano Santos.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Lutheran Home of Southbury, for the exceptional love and compassionate care given to Felisbina.
Her funeral will be held Friday, June 10, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Brookside Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home & Crematory at 200 Benson Road in Middlebury to Our Lady of Fatima Church at 2071 Baldwin St. in Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hour will be held Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
