On Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 8:17 a.m., Brandon Moore, 42, of Middlebury went to Middlebury Police Headquarters to turn himself in on an active arrest warrant. Moore was processed and charged with three counts of Risk of Injury to a Minor (53-21) and two counts of Failure to Store a Firearm Properly Re: Minor Access (29-37i). The charges stem from the police investigation following the March 24 discovery of a 9 mm bullet on a hallway floor at Memorial Middle School.
Moore was released on a $15,000 court-imposed bond and assigned a court date of June 21, 2023, in Waterbury Superior Court.
