Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother

Mary (Gubbiotti) Albini of Middlebury passed away peacefully June 17, 2023, at the hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. Mary grew up in Waterbury and was the daughter of the late Marsilio and Amelia (Marabottini) Gubbiotti. She graduated from Wilby High School and worked at Scovill Manufacturing for many years before becoming the co-owner of Albini and Ultimate Construction Co.

Mary resided in Middlebury for the past 52 years. She is predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Angelo Albini, and her two brothers, Alexander and Dominic Gubbiotti.

She loved shopping, the color purple, big hair, and going out to lunch with friends and family. Her children, along with their spouses and grandchildren loved her homemade fried dough. She was known for her vivacious personality, often very candid comments and left an impact on everyone who met her.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Maryann Albini Berluti, and her husband, Lawrence Berluti, and Licia Albini Fitzpatrick, and her husband, William Fitzpatrick. She also leaves behind her four grandchildren, Nicholas Berluti, and wife Gillian, of Frederick, Maryland, Daniel Berluti and wife Julia of Hamden, Connecticut, BJ Fitzpatrick and his wife Maggie of Waterbury, Connecticut and Kelsey Fitzpatrick of Boston, Massachusetts. “Noni” also adored her six great-grandchildren, Elliot, Malcolm, Nina, Elizabeth (Libby) and twins Adeline and Anne.

Mary also leaves her sister-in-law, Josephine Albini; nieces Lisa Piknosh, Joanne Lacedra, Linda Paoletto, Joan Napp, and “adopted” niece Debbie DeVito; and her three nephews, Bob Gubbiotti, Richard Gubbiotti and Mark Gubbiotti. She was predeceased by her nephew Alex Gubbiotti.

All funeral services for Mary are going to be held privately and at the convenience of the
family. Chase Parkway Memorial, the Albini Family Funeral Home, in Waterbury, has been entrusted with handling Mary’s funeral arrangements.
