Region 15 School Superintendent Joshua Smith sent out the following message:
Due to the continued heat and humidity facing the state, Region 15 schools will follow the Modified Heat Index Dismissal Schedule for Wednesday, September 6, and Thursday, September 7.
After-school activities may run on a modified schedule based on the school and the individual activity. Schedule adjustments will be communicated to the individual participant separately.
School Dismissal times are as follows:
Pomperaug High School follows a regular schedule, 7:20 a.m. – 2:05 p.m.; Lunch is served.
Middle schools: 8:05 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.; Lunch is served.
Elementary schools: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.; Lunch is served.
Preschool / Friends Together Program: AM session 9 a.m. – 10:40 a.m.; PM Session 10:45 a.m. – 1 p.m.
BAS (before and after school) is open.
