Flanders Nature Center in Woodbury will open its sugar house for maple syrup making demonstrations Saturdays, February 24, and March 2 and 9, and Sundays, February 25, and March 3 and 10, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Flanders Sugar House at 48 Church Hill Road in Woodbury. Flanders staff and volunteers will demonstrate turning sap into syrup with an entertaining mix of science, stories, and humor. The entire family will be fascinated by the maple sugar-making process. A suggested $5 per person donation will help support Flanders’ future maple sugar programming.

Those interested in attending can reserve their time slot to visit the Sugar House by registering online at flandersnaturecenter.org/event/maple-syrup-demonstrations-6, or by calling 203-263-3711, ext. 12.
