It’s time to license your dog

#MiddleburyCT #DogLicense

Connecticut dogs six months and older must be licensed during the month of June. Purchase licenses between June 1 and 30 to avoid paying a late fee of $1 per month. Licenses are $8 for a neutered or spayed dog and $19 if they are not. Payment is by check or credit card.

Provide proof of up-to-date rabies shots and a certificate of neutering or spaying if your dog has not been registered before. If your dog has a microchip, please provide the registration number. Pay at town hall or mail in your payment.

You also can register dogs online with a credit card at client.pointandpay.net/web/TownofMiddleburyTownClerkWeb. Those who do so will pay an automatic convenience fee of 2.5% or $2 minimum. License tags are mailed to those who register online.

In addition, you can mail in the fee with a completed dog license application available online at www.middlebury-ct.org, government, town clerk’s office and then dog licensing. Mail it with the appropriate documents and a check made payable to “Town of Middlebury” to Town Clerk, 1212 Whittemore Road, Middlebury, CT 06762.

The town clerk’s office is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Those who apply for tags through June 30 will be entered into a lottery, and the winner of the lottery will be reissued dog tag No. 1.
