Here, in order by date, are Fourth of July celebrations in Middlebury, Naugatuck, and Waterbury.

Middlebury: Thursday, July 4, see 3-D Fireworks at Quassy Amusement Park at 2132 Middlebury Road. Special 3-D viewing glasses will be sold for $2 starting in the afternoon with the proceeds benefiting Give Kids the World Village. The nonprofit resort in Kissimmee, Florida, provides week-long, cost-free wish vacations to critically ill children and their families from around the world.

The Middlebury Recreation Area will be open for passholders Thursday, July 4, from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Early table saving is limited to one table per group. DJ entertainment will be provided by Joel Pietrorazio from 5 to 10:30 p.m.

Naugatuck: Friday, July 5, at dark, see Naugatuck’s Fireworks Celebration/Festival at Old Firehouse Road in downtown Naugatuck. The rain date is Saturday, July 6. The festival will begin at 6 p.m. with entertainment, food (including food trucks), and a variety of family-oriented activities and culminate with the fireworks display.

Waterbury is offering events Saturday, July 6, and Sunday, July 7, with fireworks on Sunday. The City of Waterbury Fireworks Display will launch from Holy Land at approximately 9 p.m. Sunday.

Both days, the Brass Mill Center at 495 Union St. in Waterbury will sponsor Food Trucks from 2 to 10 p.m. in the JC Penney parking lot. Activities will include face painting and more, and 25+ food trucks are expected. The event is free and participants are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets. No alcohol, no pets and no personal fireworks/sparklers permitted.
