Police report the ATM machine was stolen from Alltown Fresh at 504 Middlebury Road in Middlebury around 1 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025. The store was closed at the time.
On Saturday, plywood filled spaces in one of the double entry doors and a space to the right of the doors. Cones prevented entry through the righthand door, and a sign posted on the lefthand door advised customers to use that door.
Inside the store, the space once occupied by the ATM machine stood empty. We anticipate obtaining more information on this event.
Police did say there was a similar theft in Branford later in the early morning hours. It isn’t yet known whether the two thefts are connected.
