At 4 p.m. Friday, state officials said there were 1,291 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Connecticut as of 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 27. This is an increase of 279 cases over the 1,012 the day before at 1:30 p.m. The number of confirmed cases in Middlebury increased to 2.
The groups with the largest number of cases were ages 50 – 59 (275 cases) followed by ages 60 – 69 (200 cases) and ages 30 – 39 (192 cases).
The groups with the largest number of hospitalizations were ages 70-79 (40 cases) followed by ages 80 and older (38 cases) and ages 60 – 69 (33 cases).

- Windham County: 3
The state reports 173 patients were hospitalized, and 27 have died. A state public health lab has tested 1,450 patients, and 219, or 15%, of those tested positive. Statewide, more than 8,400 tests have been reported.
