At 4 p.m. Monday, Connecticut state officials said there were 13,381 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state as of 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 13. This is an increase of 1,346 cases over the 12,035 the day before at 12 p.m. The number of confirmed cases in Middlebury increased to 17.

On Monday, 1,760 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, and 602 had died.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19: 13,381

Fairfield County: 6,004
Hartford County: 2,243
Litchfield County: 446
Middlesex County: 339
New Haven County: 3,358
New London County: 222
Tolland County: 195
Windham County: 83

491 cases were pending address validation.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 17, Naugatuck – 81, Oxford – 38, Southbury – 67, Woodbury – 18, Watertown – 46, Waterbury – 594.

Hospitalization numbers were: Fairfield County had 710 (+22) patients, New Haven County had 580  (+45) patients, and Hartford County had 361 (+28) patients. Other counties had 37 or fewer patients.

The groups with the largest number of cases were ages 50 – 59 (2,593 cases) followed by ages 40 – 49 (2,151 cases) and ages 60 – 69 (2,148 cases).

The report said 44,309 patients had been tested, an increase of 3,109 patients over the day before.

  • Bridgeport – 786
  • Norwalk – 747
  • Danbury – 726
  • New Haven – 697
  • Waterbury – 594
  • Hartford – 432
  • Greenwich – 324
  • West Haven – 299
  • Stratford – 265
