Loving wife, mother, grandmother & sister
Mrs. Ann Marie (Capobianco) Lewicki, 68, of Middlebury, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 5, 2020, at Shady Knoll Health Center in Seymour with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Edward S. Lewicki Jr. for 50 years.
Ann Marie was born Aug. 11, 1951, in Waterbury, Connecticut, a daughter of the late Louis and Katherine (Antonelli) Capobianco. She was a graduate of Kennedy High School. She worked as a high school teacher’s aide for Region 15 for nearly 30 years prior to her retirement.
She will forever be remembered for her love of her close family, reading a good novel and passion for cooking. Her family honors her by continuing her passion, crafting the family meals she taught them to make with the notable favorites of white wine clam sauce; spaghetti and meatballs; ham with currant jelly and raisin sauce; Sicilian pizza with anchovies; and, lemon meringue, rhubarb, apple and chocolate cream pies.
In addition to her husband of Middlebury, Ann Marie is survived by two sons, Edward S. Lewicki III of Portland, Maine, and David Lewicki and his wife, Karie, of Charlotte, North Carolina. She also leaves two granddaughters, Nora Catherine Lewicki and Quinn EunSeo Lewicki; one brother, Joseph Capobianco of Middlebury; one sister, Seleste Makely of New Jersey; and a sister-in-law, Holly Capobianco. She was predeceased by her brother Louie Capobianco and sister Angela Ternullo.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ann Marie’s calling hours, Mass of Christian Burial at St. John of the Cross Church and burial of cremains at Buck’s Hill Cemetery will be held at a later date. Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home of Waterbury has been entrusted with her arrangements.
