Loving husband, father, and grandfather

Mr. Anthony N. Graziano, 68, of Middlebury entered into the Gates of Heaven Thursday April 30, 2020, at St. Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Fortin) Graziano.

Anthony was born in Waterbury, June 13, 1951, a son of the late Anthony H. and Marie A. (Cacciatore) Graziano. He was raised in Oakville and attended Watertown High School. He worked as an electrician for his entire career most recently for Frontline Electric of Morris for 12 years until his retirement in 2017.

He and Sandra settled to Middlebury in 2006 from Oakville. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and NASCAR racing fan. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports, which led him to coaching. He coached baseball for the Watertown Senior Baseball League for 13- to 15-year-olds for six years. His greatest pleasure in life was his two grandchildren who he loved and adored and to whom he was affectionately known as “Gaga.”

Besides his wife, Sandra, of 47 years, he leaves to cherish and honor his memory his two sons, Gary J. Graziano and his fiance, Marina Jacqueway, and Denny L. Graziano and his wife, Valerie, all of Oakville; two grandchildren, Ashlynn Graziano and Anthony N. Graziano, his namesake, both of Oakville; eight surviving siblings, Sandra Rinaldi and her husband Nick of Watertown, David Graziano and his wife Gloria of Tennessee, Rosemary Berube and her husband Thomas of Oakville, Nicholas Graziano of Watertown, Allen Graziano and his wife Connie of Illinois, Marie Graziano of Bristol, Mark Graziano and his wife Patty of Watertown and Theresa Dews and her husband Joseph of Thomaston; his father-in-law, Lawrence Fortin of Middlebury, a sister-in-law, Nancy Gentley and her husband Ronald of Naugatuck; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was recently predeceased by a sister, Cheryl Kailikaitis of Florida.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic a private funeral will be held Tuesday from Brookside Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Middlebury to Lake Elise Cemetery in Middlebury for a graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Anthony’s memory to Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center, 1075 Chase Parkway,Waterbury, CT 06708
