On May 14, 2020, Connecticut state officials said there were 35,464 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state as of Wednesday, May 13, at 8:30 p.m. This is an increase of 609 cases over the 34,855 on Tuesday, May 12, at 8:30 p.m. The number of confirmed cases in Middlebury remained at 35.

On Wednesday, 1,103 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 55 patients, and 3,219 had died, an increase of 94 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 35, Naugatuck – 266, Oxford – 75, Southbury – 149, Woodbury – 38, Watertown – 117, Waterbury – 1,589.
