The staff at DPH have removed 356 cases and 808 tests in the past 24 hours, which were identified as duplicates in the system, affecting both test and overall case numbers. Since yesterday, there have been 341 new positive cases, and 5,215 new tests were reported.

On Wednesday, May 27, 2020, Connecticut state officials said there were 41,288 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state as of Tuesday, May 26, at 8:30 p.m. This is a decrease of 15 cases from the 41,303 on Monday, May 25, at 8:30 p.m. The number of confirmed cases in Middlebury decreased to 45.
On Tuesday at 8:30 p.m., 684 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 10 patients, and 3,803 people had died, an increase of 34 deaths.
Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 45, Naugatuck – 359, Oxford – 76, Southbury – 166, Woodbury – 41, Watertown – 141, Waterbury – 1,833.
