On Wednesday, June 3, 2020, Connecticut state officials said there were 43,091 COVID-19 cases in the state as of Tuesday, June 2, at 8:30 p.m. This is an increase of 112 cases over the 42,979 on Monday, June 1, at 8:30 p.m. The total number of cases in Middlebury increased to 43.

On Tuesday at 8:30 p.m., 406 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 28 patients, and 3,989 people had died, an increase of 17 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 40 confirmed and 3 probable, Naugatuck – 363 confirmed and 9 probable, Oxford – 73 confirmed and 3 probable, Southbury – 168 confirmed and 7 probable, Woodbury – 43 confirmed and 1 probable, Watertown – 134 confirmed and 6 probable, Waterbury – 1,819 confirmed and 96 probable.
