On Tuesday, June 23, 2020, Connecticut state officials said there were 45,899 COVID-19 cases in the state as of 3:30 p.m.* This is an increase of 117 cases over the 45,782 on Sunday, June 21, at 8:30 p.m. The total number of cases in Middlebury remained at 47.

On Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., 138 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 2 patients, and 4,277 people had died, an increase of 14 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 44 confirmed and 3 probable, Naugatuck – 376 confirmed and 9 probable, Oxford – 77 confirmed and 3 probable, Southbury – 187 confirmed and 5 probable, Woodbury – 47 confirmed and 1 probable, Watertown – 141 confirmed and 7 probable, Waterbury – 1,907 confirmed and 89 probable.
