COVID-19 Update – July 13, 2020 – 47,510 cases

In the first report issued since Friday, July 10, Connecticut state officials said on Sunday, July 12, at 8:30 p.m., there were 47,510 COVID-19 cases in the state. This is an increase of 223 cases over the 47,287 on Thursday, July 9, at 8:30 p.m. The total number of cases in Middlebury remained at 48.

On Sunday at 8:30 p.m., 74 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 3 patients, and 4,371 people had died, an increase of 23 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 45 confirmed and 3 probable, Naugatuck – 401 confirmed and 9 probable, Oxford – 80 confirmed and 3 probable, Southbury – 195 confirmed and 5 probable, Woodbury – 50 confirmed and 1 probable, Watertown – 144 confirmed and 7 probable, Waterbury – 1,976 confirmed and 86 probable.
