COVID-19 Update – October 19, 2020 – 64,021 cases

In the first report since Friday, October 16, 2020, Connecticut state officials said on Sunday, October 18, at 8:30 p.m., there were 64,021 COVID-19 cases in the state. This is an increase of 1,191 cases since Thursday, October 15. The total number of cases in Middlebury increased for the third day in a row, to 73 (+5).

On Sunday at 8:30 p.m., 195 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 11 patients, and deaths numbered 4,554, an increase of 12 deaths.

Cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 67 confirmed and 6 probable, Naugatuck – 503 confirmed and 16 probable, Oxford – 96 confirmed and 4 probable, Southbury – 226 confirmed and 5 probable, Woodbury – 69 confirmed and 2 probable, Watertown – 216 confirmed and 9 probable, and Waterbury – 2,661 confirmed and 114 probable.
