Loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt

Ms. Christine “Chris” M. (Pronovost) Lucewicz, 74, of Waterbury entered into the gates of heaven on Wednesday November 11, 2020, at the Autumn Lake Healthcare at Bucks Hill in the presence of her loving daughters, sister and special granddaughter Caitlin.

Chris was born in Waterbury on September 24, 1947, the eldest of 11 children, a daughter of the late Armand T. and Christine (Brady) Pronovost. She graduated from Waterbury Catholic High School Class of 1963. She worked as an administrative worker until her retirement in 2013. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters with whom she was able to take a dream trip to New York City before her passing.

She leaves to cherish and honor her memory; three daughters, Andrea Mitchell and her husband Charlie of Middlebury, Susan Lucewicz, with whom she lived, of Waterbury and Patti Ann Theiss and her husband Kevin of Woodbury; three brothers, James Pronovost of Litchfield, Stephen Pronovost and Kay Higgins of Salt Lake City, Utah and Patrick Pronovost of Waterbury; five sisters, Jane Pronovost, Jo-Ann Pronovost and Mari-ann Pronovost, all of Waterbury; Noel Croce and her husband Mark of Torrington; and Nannette Sheridan and her husband Bill of Southington; two sisters-in-law, Karen Pronovost of Litchfield and Laurie Pronovost of Waterbury; three granddaughters, Caitlin Lucewicz, Brittney Mitchell and Carlie Mitchell; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Mark Pronovost and Thomas Pronovost.

The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Autumn Lake for their exceptional love, care and compassion given to Chris during her stay.

Calling hours with her cremains present will be held Monday, November 16, 2020, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home & Crematory at 200 Benson Road in Middlebury. A prayer service will close the calling hours at 8 p.m.. Final disposition will be private and at the convenience of the family.
