On Tuesday at 8:30 p.m., 1,254 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 15 patients, and deaths numbered 5,506, an increase of 40 deaths.

Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 278 confirmed (+6) and 25 probable (+1 new probable case), Naugatuck – 1,481 confirmed and 88 probable, Oxford – 336 confirmed and 17 probable, Southbury – 567 confirmed and 38 probable, Woodbury – 277 confirmed and 13 probable, Watertown – 984 confirmed and 83 probable, and Waterbury – 7,265 confirmed and 502 probable.
