On Monday, January 25, 2021, Connecticut state officials said from Thursday, January 21, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. to Sunday, January 24, 2021, at 8:30 p.m., COVID-19 cases in the state rose to 243,632. This is an increase of 5,817 cases over 3 days.

On Sunday at 8:30 p.m., 1,068 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, an increase of 10 patients, and deaths numbered 6,911, an increase of 92 deaths.

Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 480 confirmed (+5) and 37 probable (no change), Naugatuck – 2,283 confirmed and 162 probable, Oxford – 578 confirmed and 32 probable, Southbury – 917 confirmed and 68 probable, Woodbury – 414 confirmed and 30 probable, Watertown – 1,492 confirmed and 141 probable, and Waterbury – 10,535 confirmed and 694 probable.
