On Thursday, February 3, 2021, Connecticut state officials said from Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. to Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at 8:30 p.m., COVID-19 cases in the state rose to 257,941. This is an increase of 937 cases over 24 hours.

On Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., 837 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized, a decrease of 37 patients since Tuesday, and deaths numbered 7,185, an increase of 28 deaths.

Cumulative cases in Middlebury and abutting towns were: Middlebury – 494 confirmed (no change) and 38 probable (no change), Naugatuck – 2,381 confirmed and 176 probable, Oxford – 615 confirmed and 39 probable, Southbury – 966 confirmed and 75 probable, Woodbury – 429 confirmed and 34 probable, Watertown – 1,572 confirmed and 145 probable, and Waterbury – 10,996 confirmed and 740 probable.
