Grew up in Middlebury
Robert L. Diemand, 74, of Woodbury, Conn., died peacefully June 9, 2015, at Village Green Convalescent Home in Waterbury after a long illness. He was the husband of Mary Rose (Ko) Diemand.
Robert was born Sept. 14, 1942, the son of the late J. Helen Diemand and Edwin A. Diemand, and grew up in Middlebury. He attended Westminster School in Simsbury, Conn., and graduated from Fairfield University. He lived most of his adult life in Woodbury.
Besides his wife, Mary, of Woodbury, he is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Diemand Cassidy of Raleigh, N.C., and Kelly Diemand of New York City; and his brother, Dennis Diemand, and his wife, Rosalind, of Venice, Fla., and Milford, Conn. He also is survived by a niece, Heather Diemand of San Diego, and a nephew, Timothy (Randi) Diemand of Madison, Conn. He is predeceased by his sister, Judy Diemand.
A graveside service and burial will take place Saturday, June 13, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Old Middlebury Cemetery on Route 64 West in Middlebury. Eastside Memorial A Casey Family Funeral Home and Tribute Center in Waterbury has been entrusted to assist the family with arrangements.
