The Middlebury Town Clerk will issue absentee ballots during special hours Saturday, Oct. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 5 to 8 p.m. in addition to during regular office hours of Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Absentee ballots are available for the Nov. 3, 2015, municipal election. The following offices will be on the ballot: First Selectman, Selectman, Town Treasurer, Tax Collector, Board of Finance, Board of Assessment Appeals, Police Commissioners, Water Pollution Control Authority, Library Trustees, Pomperaug Valley Water Authority and Regional Board of Education.
Absentee ballots can be issued up to the day before the election and may be obtained from the Middlebury Town Clerk’s Office either by mail or in person. An application must be filled out and received before an absentee ballot can be issued. Absentee ballots must be returned no later than 8 p.m. on election day in order to be counted. Applications are available at the Town Clerk’s office or can be downloaded from the Secretary of the State’s website at www.sots.ct.gov under “Elections and Voting.”
