Leaves aunt in Middlebury
Robert J. Fortin, 59, of Naugatuck passed away Monday, Nov. 20, 2017.
He was born in Waterbury, Conn., July 18, 1958, the son of Genevieve (Czarzasty) Truyens of Naugatuck. A lifelong Naugatuck resident, Bob graduated from Naugatuck High School and had worked at Platt Brothers in Waterbury.
Besides his loving mother, Genevieve, he leaves his sister, Frances Ann Smith of Waterbury; his niece, Jennifer Smith; his nephew, Joshua Smith; and his aunt Hedwig Normand of Middlebury. Bob was predeceased by his father, Anthony Truyens.
His funeral will be Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home at 240 N. Main St. in Naugatuck to St. Hedwig Church at 32 Golden Hill St. in Naugatuck for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery.
